Tell Me A Story
An experimental piece of interactive Zoom Theatre
Hannah devised this performance with a company of 4 actors from across London. This performance is in collaboration with Kibo Productions. The audience are able to write in the chat and vote in polls to impact the storyline, the play uses Zoom features (waiting room, breakout room, screensharing, music sharing etc) to enhance the show rather than a means of broadcasting a live show.
This project is born from the desire to continue making theatre despite the pandemic.
The Show
Wannabe novelist Josh has started a lockdown writers group with you and his other writer friends, Amy, Ursula, and David. This is their second Zoom, and you’re looking forward to hearing everyone’s stories. You’ve got the link and are signed in when something magical starts to happen.
Secret agents, inter-dimensional travel, fights, talking plants, ghosts, and a world that needs saving. Join us and be transported through the power of our shared imaginations as we test the limits of zoom storytelling in this interactive, improv-based theatrical experiment.
Have your say in how the stories end as four talented actors tackle multiple roles from their homes. Will the wifi hold up? Who knows? But we invite you to take part and have fun with us in the mayhem as we remind ourselves that theatre happens all around us, even in our living rooms.
