What Are You Hungry For?
A Research and Development Project funded by Arts Council England
Hannah is the Assistant Director of CVIV Arts, she is currently working on thier research and development project ‘What Are you Hungry For?’. This project is a devising and experimental theatre project from new writing, running from December 2020 until September 2021.
The project
WHAT ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR? 'EMPATHISES WITH HUMAN NEED
The project researches and communicates individual need and potential as well as the consequence of societal rejection, it places an emphasis on the individual and the resilience within, as oppose to cultural tradition and societal convention, reaching those who are feeling very much alone and in need of self recognition & support.
WAYHF? responds to & augments this work by perpetuating the discourse with new & existing partners to create visibility & deeper dialogue concerning to the sociological importance of art in the community. The combination of virtual & live performance, & wrap around activities; (virtual Q&A’s, live-streamed talks, interactive feedback sessions & Zoom workshops) ensures accessibility for those who cannot attend social spaces.
To realise the project, CVIVArts Theatre are working in partnership with The Dance Studio Leeds, The Holbeck, Left Bank Leeds, Open Source Arts, Seven Arts Centre & The Middle Floor.
Through the combination of virtual & live performance experimentation, new writing, public surveys, virtual Q&A’s, live-streamed talks, interactive feedback sessions & Zoom workshops we are researching:

CVIV Arts is a Yorkshire based company creating bold and exciting performance work.
Dates
December 2020
Writer Neil Rathmell begun his writing residency at the warm and impressive Left bank Leeds, producing a script that CVIVArts Theatre will later use to contribute to the devising process following a series of workshops.
January 2021
The company were planned to start workshops at Slung Low, Leeds. Current restrictions has moved these workshops online. These workshops explore: the role of 'performer', and different approaches to devising. They research the themes that run through project WAHYF?
Februrary 2021
Workshops from Artistic Director and Assistant Director begin for the public.
